I recently spent two days in Nashville, TN for the OOPSLA 2008 conference committee meeting.

My visit was short, though packed with activities for the conference.  OOPSLA is serious business and the committee not only plans the technical agenda but all the details that comes with running a conference of this magnitude and prestige.

On Saturday night I was able to get a quick peak at Nashville's

Broadway street.

Wow, this is truly a fun town.  Every bar has live music.  Yes, it's Country Music, but still live, mostly fun, and believe me it grows on you.

Everyone is out to have fun and Elvis is everywhere :-)

I can wait to visit again in October for the conference and this time for a week.  I am definitely getting cowboy hat and boots to blend in and join the line dances.
